I just wanted to say,"THANK YOU" for your wonderful Riplace product. I recently attended the Augusta, GA 70.3 IronMan event to watch my son-in-law and while I was there I visited your booth. I was very interested in your product because I have Inclusion-Body Myositis (IBM) - a muscle disease that has greatly weakened my grip strength. I mentioned the fact that I had the disease and told the sales person (a very kind lady dressed in Pink - I apologize, I did not get her name). and that I would think about buying. She asked me to wait as she prepared a package containing the cores and bungees. She told me to try the product and let you know what I thought.
Your product is fantastic. I am 65 years old but still enjoy wearing jogging type shoes. I am able to tie the shoes but I cannot pull the strings as tightly as I would like. Riplace solves my problem. I added them to my favorite pair of shoes and I love the results. I have ordered two more sets for other shoes and I plan to be a customer for a long, long time. I wanted to that your sales person for her consideration and thank you for a great product.
I would be honored to be listed in your testimonials if you see fit but please do not use my full name - PB would be fine. Thanks again!
I do triathlon since 1999 and I never had laces like this. I tried a lot of bungee shoe laces but nothing was realy good for me. Since I found riplaces due to a tweed from a tri pro. Now I have for all of my about 20 pairs of running shoes riplaces. I am a real fan and I am living in Switzerland :-)
Here is a review from a customer, Alison.
I love A LOT of things, but I don't do this recurring "Things I Love" feature enough. I'll try to write more about the things I'm totally jazzed about. So today in the series, I am loving my RIP Laces!
My friend Amy found them at Vineman this year, and sent me a pair. They are elastics held by little plastic thingies, and the plastic thingies in our case are... you guessed it... skulls! You choose the elastics based on size; they loop through they eyelets in your shoes and are held in place by the skulls. Amy originally sent me blue elastics with pink skulls, but the pink skulls didn't stand out very well on my pink shoes, so the fantastic people at RIP Laces sent me some white skulls instead.
They hold your shoes at just the right tension for running, and the best part is there are no laces to tie & untie when taking your shoes on and off! Actually, the best part is how fun and cool they are, but bonus in that they are also super functional. I've run with them quite a bit, and they stay snug and keep your foot secure in your shoe. Really comfortable too.
They have lots of different colours and styles... great for something like triathlon where speedy transitions are a must (and looking cool is a must), and also great for your regular around-town-kicks. I'm also thinking I could use the smallest elastics as hair elastics, and use my leftover skulls to hold them in place around a ponytail. Check them out at www.riplaces.com and let me know if you can think of any other uses too!

I started using Riplaces when circuit training in the Gym. I have a pretty wide foot so I was worried even the largest bands would be too tight. I wore them for a workout and realized how much time I could save on my Bike/run transitions compared to the current speed laces I was using during triathlons. Running in them is great, they flex a little so your feet have room to breath but there is no chance of your shoe coming loose.
When one of my large (team) coed cheerleaders came to me about trying these Riplaces, I was skeptical. I was worried about functionality and the safety of my athletes. I was afraid they would snap off in the middle of a stunt or tumbling pass or not hold the shoe tight to their foot. I said to have a few of the kids try them out to see how they were before the whole team wore them. Turns out, I had no need to worry. They were awesome and the kids loved them! We got them in our team colors and wore them preparing for and then competing at NCA College Nationals. Actually, our large coed WON nationals in them! So now they are part of our nationals uniform…going for back to back with the help of our Riplaces!
